The Assurance Fuel Max molds a low rolling resistance all-season compound into a tread design featuring distinct zones. Inboard and outboard Dry Tread Zones feature strong shoulder blocks to enhance handling in dry conditions, while a central Wet Tread Zone features Dual Aquachannel grooves that evacuate water to promote traction in wet weather. A virtually continuous notched center rib combined with circumferential shoulder grooves blend dry road stability and even treadwear with traction in snowy conditions. The tire's internal structure features twin steel belts (H-speed rated sizes are reinforced with spirally wrapped nylon belt edge strips) on top of a polyester carcass that enhances ride quality.

If you want a smooth ride, with little if any noise, this is your tire. Had Cooper GS4 on my Toyota Avalon and in 28,000 miles tread was just about all gone. This tire should be orig. equipment. SO SMOOTH-whisper quite and rolls like a more expensive tire. Car holds the road and gets down quickly when you need to stop. I picked the Coopers because of the tread design. In my case wrong pick, stay with the Goodyear Fuel Max.
