The Eagle F1 GS-2 is Goodyear’s Ultra High Performance Summer radial developed for Original Equipment (O.E.) use on the Pontiac Solstice GXP and Saturn Sky Red Line sports cars. On the outside, Eagle F1 GS-2 tires feature Goodyear’s Ultra High Performance tread compound molded into a directional tread design. The design combines a continuous center rib that maintains constant road contact to enhance straight-line tracking and initial steering response with high angle tread blocks and dual Aquachannels to avoid trapping water between the tire and the road to boost wet traction and hydroplaning resistance. On the inside, twin high-tensile steel belts are reinforced with spirally wound aramid to distribute the vehicle’s load across the tire’s footprint providing high-speed durability and uniform ride qualities. Rayon body plies enhance high temperature and high-speed durability while exterior sidewall rim flange protectors help guard wheels against curb damage.

I bought these tires to replace my Goodyear Eagle RS-As, after almost 45,000 miles. I was not going to pay over $200 a tire to replace the RS-As; they were not worth that much. So based on recommendations of some fellow Colorado owners I went with the F1 GS2s! These tires are a vast improvement over the stockers for sure; wet traction and braking is outstanding. Whether pushing my truck through the curves or in a threshold braking situation, they continue to impress me. Beyond that is the price; I bought them back in the summer for $99 each in 245/45/18s! This was a mild upsize from 235/50/18s, but why not get more for less! My truck has full suspension and all the performance mods to go with it! So I need a tire that wil perform too! Highly rated
