The Eagle GS-D EMT is Goodyear's Ultra High Performance Summer run-flat tire developed for Original Equipment use on 1997-2001 Plymouth Prowler and 2001-2002 Chrysler Prowler retro hot rod styled vehicles. The Eagle GS-D EMT features Goodyear's self-supporting Extended Mobility Technology (EMT) to provide temporary mobility even after a complete loss of air pressure while eliminating the traditional spare tire to allow more storage and luggage space. Like all summer tires, they are not intended to be driven in freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice. Eagle GS-D EMT features a high performance summer tread compound molded into a directional tread design to provide traction in dry and wet conditions. The tire's internal structure includes twin, high-tensile steel belts reinforced with spirally wound nylon that distribute the vehicle's load across the tire's footprint to enhance steering precision, stability and high-speed durability. The tire's reinforced sidewalls are capable of temporarily supporting the weight of the car even after a puncture results in complete loss of air pressure. NOTE: EMT tires are only recommended for vehicles that are originally equipped with self-supporting run-flat tires and equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system.
