Original Equipment (OE) summer tires are an appropriate tire choice for sporty vehicles manufactured in the U.S., as well as those imported from Europe and Asia. Developed for use on new cars and light trucks, these tires provide a sporty blend of ride quality, noise comfort and handling, along with dry and wet traction. These tires are not intended to be driven in snow. While Original Equipment summer tires are often repurchased as direct replacements for pairs and sets of worn out Original Equipment tires, they can also be used on other vehicles in axle pairs or sets of four if they match the needed tire size, load range and speed rating specifications, as well as the anticipated driving conditions. While we attempt to provide a picture of as many of these tires as possible, the pictures used to represent these tires cannot be guaranteed to be an exact depiction of each tire's appearance because of the variety of subtle differences in tread designs and sidewall styling.

At 9,000 miles on my G35 6MT Sport Suspension, I am shocked to be thinking about buying tires already. These 235/45-W17s are the stock tires. At this rate, I think Ill be lucky to get 20,000 miles from these tires. I check the air pressure weekly, and just had them rotated at 7,500 mi. for the first time (recommended highway interval). It may be that the 33 psi recommended by Infiniti is a bit low for my driving style, but I dont do burnouts, etc, and Im surprised to see moderate shoulder wear on the tires already. Im going to try a bit higher pressures to see if this helps. If you want excellent dry traction, and medium traction in the wet, these tires fit the bill. There have got to be tires that last longer than this and have this amount of dry cornering. On our 2003 (A/T) G35 with the 215/55-17s were getting more like 40,000 to 50,000 miles on the tires (Turanza EL42 and Yokohama Avid V4S, respectively). The NCT 5s are great tires in the dry weather climate, and if you have money to burn... but Id like something that would last a bit longer with the same performance, and be able to handle a Florida downpour. Im not displeased, as dry traction is phenomenal, but the wet traction being mediocre and high wear has really got me thinking about a switch when these wear out.
