Tire Description

The Radial LS is Goodyear's Standard Touring All-Season tire developed for Original Equipment use on limousines and funeral coaches based on the Cadillac DTS (DeVille Touring Sedan). The Radial LS is designed to combine heavy-duty load capacity with all-season traction, even in light snow. Radial LS tires feature a symmetric, independent tread block design featuring computer-optimized block sizes to minimize tread noise for a quiet ride. Wide circumferential channels help evacuate water from beneath the contact patch to reduce the possibility of hydroplaning and enhance wet traction while sipes provide hundreds of biting edges for light snow traction. The tire's internal structure features twin steel belts reinforced by nylon for strength and high-speed durability. The Radial LS is only available in a LT235/60R16 112/109S Load Range E size to support the extra weight of a professional vehicle's additional body reinforcements, special features and occupant capacity. They are not intended for use on standard Cadillac DTS vehicles.

The actual Goodyear tires on my GMC Safari are called "Goodyear Radial MPV" and are in solid raised white letters. Which was a real good looking and good performing tire. However, as far as I know this tire has been canceled from the Goodyear line. In addition, Goodyear did not replace the tire with a raised white letter tire which was one of the main reasons for buying. The RWL does a lot to dress up the old family GMC Safari. Based upon other surveys BF Goodrich has the best RWL SUV/truck tire on the market with the BFG All-Terrain tire and it fits a 2002 GMC Safari and is standard OEM for Hummers.
