Tire Description

The Wrangler AT Extreme is Goodyear's On-/Off-Road All-Terrain tire developed initially for Original Equipment use on the HUMMER H2 and HUMMER H2 SUT (Sport Utility Truck: half SUV, half pickup truck). The Wrangler AT Extreme is an all-terrain tire that was designed to combine on-road capability with off-road traction on dirt and sand, as well as in snow and mud. On the outside, the Wrangler AT Extreme molds a cut and chip-resistant compound into a multi-faceted symmetric tread design with large, independent tread blocks for directional stability, steering response and traction. Full depth circumferential grooves evacuate water to resist hydroplaning and multiple lateral grooves and sipes enhance traction in loose surfaces. On the inside, twin steel belts reinforced with spirally wrapped nylon cord promote a uniform tire shape that enhances durability and high-speed capabilities, while Goodyear's Dura-Wall Construction, three-ply polyester carcass stabilizes the sidewalls and increases cut resistance. Wrangler AT Extreme On-/Off-Road All-Terrain tires are branded with the mountain/snowflake symbol to identify they meet industry severe snow service standards.

For the price these are excellent tires! I just had them mounted on my stock truck, and they fit great, look awesome, and drive fine! They are a little heavier than the stock tires, but they are stronger too. I wouldn't recommend going any bigger in size than these on a stock truck, but they fit fine on mine! I did not notice any more or less road noise from the other tires I have used before. They handle well, I am not sure about the rating for sand but I will report back later as I live in Corpus Christi, TX and drive/visit the beach a bit! Highly recommend these tires!
