I have a 2004 Jeep Wrangler Sport so Ive paid particular attention to reviews for Jeeps and the only thing I can figure out is that maybe the "stock" tire on these Wranglers dont work as well as the 30x9.50" sized tires that came with the optional 30" tire and wheel group. I consider myself a spirited driver whod rather maintain speed and drive through a turn than brake for it. These tires have seen me through heavy rain on the interstate at 65-75mph, heavy snow in the Sierras at 40-50mph, and dry conditions on everything from twisty backroads to straight-as-an-arrow interstate. On the backroads, Im more concerned about the Jeeps stability than the tires. The Wrangler handles very well (for a top-heavy SUV) and doesnt understeer so at the limit, Im ultimately more concerned about the Jeep rolling over than the tire losing grip (it has never slipped and rarely squeals). On the interstate, I routinely cruise at 70-80mph and have seen speeds up to 95mph with no issues from the tires. I have the dual top option (hard and soft) and I have found these tires to be quiet with either top, or no top, and have no problem holding conversations. With the top down I compete more with wind noise than tire noise. Ride is acceptable and wear has been acceptable (I still have usable tread life after 27,000 hard, on-road miles).
